Building on my courses in Intercultural Performance run at Royal Holloway, I now lead music workshops for instrumentalists, vocalists and those who just want to have a go at making music in a group. Workshops vary in aim: in the case of Today is Good! (weekly sessions, ongoing) and Welcome to Italy (3-times a week for 3 weeks), the aim was to draw out musical experiences of people on the move, and help them find ways of expressing themselves collaboratively, through sound and movement. More specialist workshops have been focused on a particular musical element (such as the modes used in traditional musics of the Mediterranean). Some workshops are one-offs. Depending on the setting, I lead with voice, saxophone, oud or keyboard.
My educational platform Music Boat hosts a range of workshops and courses.

Please put me on your mailing list for workshops.
I would’ve loved to do the SOAS summer school workshop with you on modes. Please keep me informed if you do any more.
I was an opera singer and do circle singing (collaborative vocal improvsation as created by Bobby McFerrin and others) with Guillermo Rozenthuler and many others. I also play some afro cuban percussion in an amateur Salsa band and I play pandeiro in a Brazilian Roda de Choro.
